Abortion is illegal in Malta but prosecutions are rare. No woman has been charged with having an abortion in the last five years and no woman has gone to prison for having an abortion in the last twenty five years. This is despite the fact that Women on Web alone are shipping over 200 abortion pill packs to women in Malta each year. So, yes, there is a risk of legal trouble but it appears to be low.
